STUDENT POLICIES
A Guide to Conduct, Discipline & Responsibility — Dr. Kakasaheb Deodhar English School
UNIFORM & ATTENDANCE
Students are expected to wear neat, tidy, clean and ironed uniform prescribed by the school.
- Boys: Off-white navy blue checks shirt, navy blue pants, necktie, belt.
- Girls: Off-white shirt with navy blue pinafore, necktie, belt.
- Footwear: Black polished shoes with laces.
- Hair: Boys — soldier cut; Girls — two plaits or black hair belt.
- No uniform? Written note from parents required.
- Attendance: No absence without prior intimation.
- 30+ days absent? Admission may be cancelled.
CODE OF CONDUCT
- No mobile phones, cameras or smart gadgets in school.
- No smoking, tobacco or addictive substances.
- No abusive language or cyberbullying.
- Respect teachers & peers at all times.
- Do not damage school property — walls, desks, buses.
- No monetary transactions with teachers.
SUSPENSION & LIBRARY
- Suspension (up to 15 days) for repeated offenses like cheating, abuse, or damage.
- Dismissal after inquiry for serious offenses like physical harm.
- Library: One book issued at a time.
- Return on time — fine for late return.
- Rs. 100 fine for misplacement of book.
- Books returned on class days or during school hours.
HEALTH & HYGIENE
- Students must polish shoes daily and carry a handkerchief.
- Parents must inform school of any medical condition requiring special arrangements.
- Keep surroundings clean. Bring tiffin regularly.
- Respect all religions — no religious symbols (kada, tilak, sacred thread) permitted.
PROMOTION & DISCIPLINE
- Promotion is based on overall assessments — not final exams alone.
- Use of social media against school/staff will be treated as cybercrime.
- Any physical harm to staff or peers may lead to immediate dismissal after inquiry.
- Students must truthfully answer queries from teachers.
These policies are not merely rules — they are the foundation of character, discipline, and lifelong values.
