PRAYERS

Spiritual & Inspirational Prayers for Students

WHERE THE MIND IS WITHOUT FEAR

– Rabindranath Tagore | Pg 6

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of truth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms toward perfection;
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;
Where the mind is led forward by Thee into ever-widening thought and action —
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS

– Pg 12

There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.

WE SHALL OVERCOME

– Pg 13

We shall overcome
We shall overcome
We shall overcome, someday
Oh, deep in my heart
I know that I do believe
We shall overcome, someday

We shall be alright
We shall be alright
We shall be alright, someday
Oh, deep in my heart
I know that I do believe
We shall overcome, someday

We shall live in peace
We shall live in peace
We shall live in peace, someday

Pune Vidyarthi Griha’s Dr. Kakasaheb Deodhar English School, Nashik.

About Pune Vidyarthi Griha (PVG)

An education only can provide the stability, and one could gain name and fame in the society. An education is a wealth and becomes a treasure to those who do not have money, and to those who have a clever brain and ambitions in mind.

"Anath Vidyarthi Griha" came into existence on May 12th, 1909, with the motto to educate the poor, destitute, and needy children. There were many students who used to work hard, and some received charitable offerings from society, but there was no home or shelter for them, nor a school where they could get proper education. This noble task was shouldered idealistically by "Pune Vidyarthi Griha".
